Reduce, Reuse, Recycle are the well-known 3Rs. It is now of even greater importance and urgency to expand into 5Rs. Learn about environmental sustainability and why conservation of the environment and resources are important. Upcycling is one of the methods used to carry out the 5Rs, where used items or by-products are modified into new useful products, extending the ‘Life’ of the resources.
Through this workshop, various sharing of ideas, converting and/or modification of materials will be carried out. Sustainability will be a key concept and main guiding principle for the workshop!
Learning Objective(s):
(i) Understand the meaning and importance of environmental sustainability.
(ii) Learn and share new ideas on products that can be formed through upcycling.

What To Expect From The Workshop
Participants will be provided with certain materials to craft/construct useful products. Participants may bring along other various materials used that they intend to upcycle. Participants will be able to bring home their artefact done during the workshop.
