Navigation is the process of finding directions and the route to a desired location, and Orienteering involves carrying out navigation in a timed manner and across terrain. As people become more and more dependent on technology, the skill of basic navigation using a map is often lost.

However such life skills are still required and very relevant in this globally connected world where people travel to various destinations. At times when there are no data signal or internet connection, especially rural areas, the few remaining ways to find your way will require such navigation skills.
